Strawberry Jam made without sugar! The easiest jam you’ll ever make, no refined sugar and no cooking. Just 4 ingredients and a blender.
Strawberry Jam made without Sugar!
Strawberry jam is definitely a favourite in our house and with wanting to help out the Aussie strawberry farmers during this unbelievable contamination crisis, I thought now would be a good time to start making my own. This is the perfect recipe as the strawberries are pureed til smooth, yet you still get the delicious fresh flavour of the fruit because it doesn’t need to be heated. Plus, there is no refined sugar! Just honey for sweetness and you could even leave this out if you wanted.
I feel like jam has always been a recipe only for serious cooks, and that really isn’t me. I mean I love cooking, but am not very good at super accurate measurements or refined baking, or jam making I figured. But! This jam I can make! I mean I can easily chop up strawberries and put them in a blender.
I used 2 tablespoons of honey as my son has a sweet tooth, but you could easily reduce or leave out. Other recipes like this I have seen also add 1/2 cup of water, but I found the consistency of my jam was fine without adding the water. You can try adding if you want.
And it really is as easy as that! This also freezes well, so why don’t we all bulk up on strawberries, help out the farmer and fill our freezers with strawberry jam!
