Orange Juice Gummies
These gummies are so easy to make and really great if you are looking for some healthy snack options for your kids and more ‘not out of a packet’ lunchbox ideas.
Did you know gelatin and collagen are essentially the same thing? Basically gelatin is cooked collagen, which is the protein found in the bones of animals, and both provide the same health benefits. I had always related gelatin for gut health and collagen for healthy skin and hair, not really thinking about the fact they were the same thing. The main difference is gelatin will thicken when cooled and can be used to set recipes such as these gummies, marshmallows or panna cotta.

Orange Juice Gummies
- Total Time: 7 minutes
- Yield: 24 gummies 1x
Description
Orange Juice Gummies made with real fruit, just two ingredients and no added sugar! Perfect for school lunch boxes and healthy little tummies.
Ingredients
- 1 cup / 250ml fresh orange juice (about 3 oranges)
- 2 tablespoons good quality gelatin (like this one)
Instructions
Freshly juice your oranges until you have 1 cup. Pour half the juice into a saucepan and heat until almost boiling and sprinkle the gelatin over the remaining juice. Once hot, slowly pour this heated juice into the gelatin mix and whisk until all the gelatin has dissolved.
Pour into silicon moulds or a small tray covered with cling wrap and set in the fridge for 2 hours.
Notes
These gummies are great straight from the fridge but mine did melt by the end of the day if left in the kid’s lunchbox, so keep as cool as possible with ice blocks.
I used to still be able to buy Sarah Wilson’s gelatin but can’t seem to anymore, here is another great brand to use

WHERE TO BUY GELATIN?
I used to always buy and love Sarah Wilson’s gelatin powder, but I can’t seem to find stockists for it anymore so have had to research other options. This gelatin from Healthy Habits is recommend by Georgia from Well Nourished and so this will be my go-to from now on. You can get online from the Changing Habits website.
