Easter Bunny Pancakes

Description

Easter Bunny pancakes made with chocolate, pink and plain pancake mix.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 cups plain flour
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon pink food colouring or beetroot powder
  • 1 tablespoon raw cacao powder or cocoa powder
  • 3 sauce bottles

Instructions

THERMOMIX METHOD

Place 2 eggs, 2 cups of flour and 2 cups of milk into TM bowl and mix 10 sec / speed 5.  Scrape down sides and repeat.  Pour half the mixture into 1 of the sauce bottles.  Add pink colouring to TM bowl and mix 10 sec / speed 5.  Pour into 1 of the sauce bottles, set aside any extra mixture and clean TM bowl.

Place the remaining egg, flour, milk and the cacao powder into TM bowl and mix 10 sec / speed 5.  Scrape down sides and repeat.  Pour into last sauce bottle.

Place all three bottles into fridge for at least an hour or overnight if possible, to allow mixture to thicken.

Heat a flat crepe pan over low heat and draw the outline of your bunny.  Leave to cook slightly for 1-2 minutes then fill in centre.  Once mixture starts to bubble and looks firm flip over and cook a further 1-2 minutes on other side.

NON THERMOMIX METHOD

In 3 bowls, place 1 cup of flour into each.  Make a well in the centre and add the egg, start whisking together and slowly add the milk, whisking continuously.  In one bowl whisk in the pink colouring.  In another bowl whisk in the cacao powder and leave the last bowl plain.

Pour each colour into each sauce bottle.

Notes

Use whichever colour you like for the different bunny face elements.
