Chocolate Avocado Mousse

I was amazed at how delicious this mousse turned out, both kids and I loved it!  You can’t tell it’s made with avodaos.  It is really rich though, so you only need a small amount and there is a lot of honey in there so small serves are perfect.  It’s ready almost in seconds and would even go really well as a treat in school lunchboxes.

It’s perfect for anyone with diet restrictions as it pretty much ticks all the boxes…. gluten free, dairy free, nut free and refined sugar free.  The avocado in this recipe is a great way to add healthy fats to your kids diet.

Healthy and decadent Chocolate Avocado Mousse recipe. Dairy free, gluten free, nut free and refined sugar free! Made with just 3 ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large ripe avocados, peeled and stoned
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 50g raw cacao powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

THERMOMIX METHOD

Place avocado into TM bowl and blend 20 sec / speed 8.  Scrape down sides and repeat.

Add remaining ingredients and blend 20 sec / speed 8.  Scrape down sides and repeat until really smooth.

NON THERMOMIX METHOD

Place the avocado into a food processor and blitz until smooth.

Add remaining ingredients and continue to blend until really smooth, you will need to scrape down the sides a few times.

Set mousse in fridge for about an hour before serving.

Notes

It is easier to make a double batch when using a Thermomix as the bowl is quite large.
