This AMAZING Red Pesto Recipe – With Just 3 Ingredients is incredibly easy to make. How easy is this…….. just open a jar, peel a clove of garlic and toast some pine nuts and you’re pretty much done. Literally takes 5 minutes which is why I’m obsessed with it at the moment!
This pesto is gluten free, dairy free and vegan.
3 INGREDIENT SUN DRIED TOMATO PESTO
Once you’ve made this Sun Dried Tomato Pesto you will never look back. I like to use this pesto in other recipes but I also use it daily. For example mixing it to my scrambled eggs, or putting it on some crackers with cheese and avocado or adding it to the kids toasties. Delish!

RED PESTO RECIPE INGREDIENTS
- SUN-DRIED TOMATOES – I used the whole 280g jar of sun-dried tomato strips as well as the oil, you can use any brand, just use 280g.
- TOASTED PINE NUTS – pine nuts are quite a strong flavour, which I love but my kids not so much. If you are after a milder flavour I would suggest using toasted cashews instead.
- GARLIC – adds flavour, you can leave out if you like.

HOW TO MAKE THIS RED PESTO RECIPE – WITH JUST 3 INGREDIENTS
STEP ONE
Toast the pine nuts on a dry pan for a 1-2 minutes. Be sure to watch these as they can burn quite quickly.
STEP TWO
Add all ingredients into a blender and blitz until smooth. Add a couple table spoons of water to find your preferred consistency, add more water for a smoother pesto.

Ingredients
- 280g jar of sun-dried tomatoes
- 80g pine nuts
- 1 clove garlic
Instructions
Toast pine nuts on a dry pan for a few minutes – be sure to keep an eye on them as they can burn quite quickly.
Add all ingredients to a blender and blitz until combined.
Add a couple tablespoons of water if needed to create your preferred consistency.
Notes
- Toasted pine nuts can be replaced with toasted cashew nut for a milder flavour.
