Homemade Gluten Free Tortilla Wraps made easily. We love soft tortillas or wraps in this house and since attempting to go gluten free, have really struggled to find any decent tasting store bought wraps. These are so amazing! Really easy to make and hold together really well as a wrap, tortilla or even drizzled in maple syrup as sugar free pancakes.
I know I will be making big batches of these every week from now on!
Gluten Free Tortillas
These healthy tortillas are soft, flexible and made using gluten free flour. This gluten free tortilla recipe is so easy you don’t need a tortilla press, they can be made just like making crepes, which means you can also make them whatever size you like, or whatever size your pan is.
I make these easy gluten free tortillas in the Thermomix, but they can easily be mixed together in a bowl. An easy recipe to double the ingredients and make a large batch, they will keep for about 3 days in an airtight container.
We have been having these as either pancakes for breakfast or as a wrap with chicken, salad and mayo…. so delicious!

Tortilla Recipe Ingredients
- Eggs – I wouldn’t replace these with anything, but you could test out some of your own egg replacements, I haven’t tried any with this tortilla recipe.
- Coconut Milk – This gluten free tortillas recipe can be made using either coconut milk, for a dairy free and added good fats option or you can use whatever milk you use at home. I made it with half coconut milk and half cows milk as my son isn’t keen on any coconut flavour.
- Tapioca Starch / Tapioca Flour – I like the lightness of the flour, yet is still strong enough to hold these gluten free wraps together.
- Coconut Flour – helps to bind the ingredients, also is high in fibre and a good source of protein.
- Olive Oil – this is a classic ingredient in French crepes.
- Salt – you can leave out if you like.
These gluten free wraps are great for school lunch boxes, just wrap them up tight like a burrito. Here are some wrap combos you could try;

NON THERMOMIX METHOD
Place all ingredients into a large bowl and mix really well. Once there are no lumpy bits, put crepe pan on medium heat, spray with a little coconut oil, then add about 80ml / ⅓ cup of mixture and tilt pan around so it spreads out thin. You should get around 6 tortillas.
Notes
I like to use half coconut milk and half cows milk.

monika
would potato starch work instead of tapioca?
Shanai
Hi Monika, I haven’t really used potato starch in my recipes so haven’t tested it, but I read this post and it looks like you would need to lighten it with another flour as potato starch is denser than tapioca. I love the lightness of tapioca flour.
