A fun way to get you toddler trying new foods
This is a really great way to make meal times fun for your toddler (especially picky eaters) and an easy way to introduce new foods. The trick is, fill most of the tray with foods you know they will eat, then sneak in a couple of new ones. This tactic seemed to work well with my first son, he was a terribly picky eater. You can pretty much put whatever you have in the fridge or pantry in your tray. You could even do all the same colour, so do a red tray then the following day an orange tray…. just have fun with it!
This tray I have included grated cheese, strawberries, sugar snap peas, sultanas, blueberries, mandarin, broccoli, capsicum, watermelon, frozen mango, orange and cucumber. Still a great snack for my 3 and 4 year old, I just gave them both this to share and they pretty much ate most of it as one would eat some and the other would choose something else.
