Description
Peanut Satay Sauce made in the jar using pantry ingredients such as soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, sambal oelek, olive oil and that last quarter of a jar of peanut butter.
Ingredients
- last ¼ of a jar of smooth peanut butter
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce or tamari
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon coconut milk (optional)
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons honey
- 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- ½ teaspoon sambal oelek
Instructions
Add all ingredients straight into the peanut butter jar, put on lid and shake until well combined. If needed, warm up slightly in the microwave to soften the ingredients.
Store in the fridge for up to a week, let sit at room temperature before using.
Notes
I like adding a little coconut milk to make the sauce creamier, if you don’t have any open you can leave this out, it still tastes great without it.
Use this thick as a dipping sauce or add a little water to thin if adding to noodles or chicken and rice.
