Kebab, sometimes spelt as kabob or kebob, are marinated meat (chicken) threaded on skewers and grilled over fire.

Chicken Kebab Recipe Marinade
The chicken kebab marinade for these grilled chicken skewers gives juicy and flavourful chicken with every bite. This recipes uses the following marinade ingredients;
- Minced garlic
- Olive oil which keeps the chicken moist by sealing the juice inside the chicken.
- Lemon juice.
- Ground cumin for a deep and aromatic flavour.
- Paprika adds a tiny amount of heat, but mild enough for the whole family.
How to make Chicken Kebab – Easy Steps
- Cut chicken into equal sized cubes.
- Coat chicken in olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, paprika and cumin.
- Mix well to coat and marinate for 30 minutes.
- Pre soak bamboo skewers in water if not using metal skewers.
- Thread chicken pieces onto skewers.
- Cook on grill or bbq over med high heat until chicken is cooked through.
Tips
- Make sure chicken pieces are evenly sized.
- Don’t overload each skewers.
- Rotate skewers as they are cooking.
- You can add in pieces of red onion or capsicum to add variety to the kebabs.

Chicken Kebabs
- Total Time: 45 minutes
- Yield: 10 skewers 1x
Description
Chunks of chicken threaded on skewers and marinated with olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, paprika and cumin.
Ingredients
- 500g chicken breast, skinless and boneless
- olive oil for grilling
MARINADE
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika

½ teaspoon cumin
- pinch of salt
Instructions
Cut the chicken into equal sized cubes, pat dry.
In a bowl combine the olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, paprika, cumin and salt. Then pour over chicken pieces and marinate for 30 minutes.
Thread four pieces of the chicken meat onto a metal skewer or bamboo skewers. (pre soak bamboo skewers in water if using)
Heat the grill to medium high heat and cook each skewer until the chicken is cooked through, turning regularly.
