This is a super easy and fun dinner. I served it with egg noodles and sweet potato chips, but you could easily just have the beef with a heap of lightly stir fried greens.
500g rump steak, sliced thinly
2 tbsp corn flour (marinade)
2 tbsp soy sauce (marinade)
1 tsp salt (marinade)
sesame oil for frying
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
2 tbsp soy sauce
2 tsp brown sugar
⅓ cup water
2 stalks spring onion, sliced thinly
white sesame seeds for garnishing
Combine the ingredients for the marinade and coat the beef, allow to marinate in the fridge for 30 minutes. Heat your wok or frypan over high heat and drizzle with sesame oil, add the garlic and just as it is starting to turn brown add a handful of the beef and stir as it browns. Remove this beef and cook another handful, continue until all the beef has browned and then return it to the pan. Add any vegies you like at this stage along with the soy sauce, sugar and water and cook until the sauce slightly thickens. Add the spring onions for about a minute, then serve sprinkled with sesame seeds.
