This is the same recipe as my pumpkin soup, cooked without the chicken stock makes it a really nutritious first food for baby.
PUMPKIN, CARROT & RED LENTIL PUREE
½ cup red lentils
1 ½ cups water
Peel and roughly chop pumpkin and carrot, then place into mixing bowl and chop 15 sec / speed 7. Scrape down sides of bowl. Add water and cook 20 mins / 100⁰C / speed 1. Blend 1 min / speed 9, increase gradually in speed.
NON THERMOMIX METHOD
Peel and chop the pumpkin and carrot, add to the saucepan with lentils and water. Bring to the boil and cook for 20 mins or until all vegetables are soft when tested with a fork. Place into a food processor and blend until smooth.
