Georgia’s 4th Picnic Birthday Party with a woodlands theme and styled almost entirely by Kmart! The easiest birthday party I have done yet.
A Picnic Birthday Party styled by Kmart
Georgia wanted her birthday at Simmo’s Ice Creamery in Dunsborough with a bouncy castle. She was pretty specific all year about this so I didn’t attempt to change her mind. I think her decision was strongly influenced by the fact this was where her bestie had had her birthday party. Simmo’s have a playground and a huge grassed area where you can set up for your party, based on the idea you get one of their ice cream cakes. So not only did I have barely any cleaning up this year, I also didn’t need to make a cake!
We hired a bouncy castle from Cape Bouncy Castles and instead of using trestle tables for the food, set up a little woodlands theme picnic.
This year her birthday was over Easter and we had all our family coming to stay, so I knew I wouldn’t have hours available to do baking. I kept things super simple with a focus on popcorn, cut up fruit and made by Mum Anzac Biscuits. For this re enactment of her party I made Pancakes, Sausage Rolls and Carrot Cake Muffins. These recipes will get posted this week and I will include links here.
I didn’t get many great photos on the actual day, so we re enacted her party at a park near our house. It turned out to be a really lovely morning and I plan to do it more often. It’s a great idea for the weekends, invite a few of the neighbours kids, take some balls and a cricket or tee ball set and just hang out for a few hours.
Styled by Kmart
I ducked into a Kmart to just grab a couple of wooden boxes to put the popcorn in and as we have all experienced, came out with an overflowing trolley. I can say though, it all came to less than $100 and Georgia’s little woodland picnic looked amazing! Here is a list of the both the decorations I got from Kmart and another option for the items I already had at home. So essentially you could replicate this cute little party entirely from Kmart. None of these are affiliate posts, I don’t get any commissions I just wanted to share how easy it is to create a little themed children’s party.
